BARK PARK ANNOUNCES OPENING DATE AND RAISES MONEY FOR BRYAN COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
RICHMOND HILL, GA – August 27, 2014 - The Bryan County Bark Park announced that the park will open in October 2014 at a Yappy Hour celebration of National Dog Day at Fish Tales Restaurant last night.
Steve Myers, Board Member of the Bryan County Bark Park announced “We are near to completion of the handicapped accessible walkway from the parking lot to the Bark Park. Electricity cables have been run to the Bark Park and fencing will be erected for the small and large dog areas in September. We will open the park as early in October as possible but certainly by October 25th”. He continued “Please keep 9am-3pm clear as Saturday October 25th will see the park hosting a new Howl-o-ween Festival and 3K run so stay tuned for details”.
The Bark Park supported Bryan County Animal Control in the adoption of shelter animals on August 26th. Laura McGee won the prize drawing for a goody basket as everybody who donated food or cash to purchase food for the shelter was entered into the raffle. $160 was raised as well as many donations of food for animals in need at the shelter.
